Pixtronix Bolsters Leadership Team
Pixtronix, a private venture-backed developer of multimedia display
technologies, announced the appointment of Tony Zona as Chief Executive
Officer and Kris Sahlstrom as Vice President of Manufacturing.
With the addition of these executives, Pixtronix noted, it prepares for
the next phase of growth in the development and manufacturing of its
display technologies.
Tony Zona, an entrepreneur with over 25 years of high tech leadership
experience, is responsible for the overall management and strategic
direction of Pixtronix. Most recently, Zona was Vice President and
General Manager at Motorola. He joined Motorola through the acquisition
of Quantum Bridge Communications, where he served as founder, President and CEO. Kris Sahlstrom brings two decades of experience in flat panel display and semiconductor engineering and manufacturing to Pixtronix, where he leads the company's worldwide manufacturing strategy and operations.
"Pixtronix has demonstrated their low power, multimedia display
technology in record time," said Jeffrey Andrews, Partner at Atlas
Venture. "We are thrilled to now add the seasoned leadership of
executives Tony Zona and Kris Sahlstrom to help lead the company
through its next phase of growth."
